BIOL 2222 - Biotechnology Applications in Agriculture This course will introduce the most recent advances in, as well as the historical applications of, biotechnology in agriculture. The techniques used to genetically engineer crops to increase crop production and develop novel traits will be explored. Biotechnology applications in animal reproduction, animal genetics, animal nutrition, and animal pathology will be examined. This course also will evaluate the benefits as well as the ethical and environmental ramifications of agricultural biotechnology.
Prerequisites: BIOL 2220 - Recombinant DNA and Protein Production
Credits: 4
Lecture/Lab Hours: 3 lecture, 3 lab hrs/week
