The Sheridan College Hospitality Management Certificate program prepares students for entry-level positions in the hospitality field. Students develop skills necessary for creating a comfortable and satisfying experience for the public in a restaurant or hotel environment. The certificate program may be completed in two semesters and prepares students for a second year of instruction, culminating in an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree.
Our highly qualified instructional staff share valuable industry experience with students, and work closely with each student in advising and guiding them in achieving their educational and career goals.
Hospitality Management Certificate Program Outcomes
- Analyze costing methods for maximum profitability
- Perform decision making and leadership skills to function effectively in the hospitality industry
- Evaluate the importance of quality customer service in the hospitality industry
- Differentiate between legal and illegal practices and standards in the workplace
- Apply marketing principles as related to hotel and restaurant businesses
- Evaluate the importance of asset management
- Provide industry best practices as they pertain to the guest cycle
