The Physical Education program of study is designed to prepare students to meet academic standards leading to a Bachelor’s degree and to prepare future teachers for the K-12 classroom and related professions in the broader discipline.
Physical Education AS Program Outcomes:
- Describe the characteristics of primary and secondary physical education.
- Analyze individually observed teaching performances.
- Analyze current issues and trends in physical education, fitness, and wellness.
- Explain the physical education field’s contribution to child development.
- Apply Universal Precautions in a safe and effective manner when handling bodily fluids.

Certification
A First Aid / CPR card must be obtained in order for students to graduate with the AS degree in Physical Education.
