The Engineering Technology Certificate program introduces students to engineering and environmental concepts used in data collection, field sampling and surveying, and data management and modeling. This program explores engineering standards that impact the day-to-day work of Engineering Technicians working in industry.
Engineering Technology Program Outcomes
- Apply the fundamental principles of geology, environmental science, and engineering as they relate to environmental concerns.
- Perform environmental sampling in accordance with industry standards.
- Apply Geographical Information Systems and Computer Aided Design technology to present field data.
- Apply relevant techniques, skills, and engineering technology tools to solve problems.
- Demonstrate an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility by analyzing issues in profession.
