Surveying Technology AAS

The Surveying Technology AAS is a collaborative program with the University of Wyoming. The curriculum emphasizes drafting, field computations, survey law and legal applications, as well as provides a general education towards the completion of an associate’s degree. Upper-level surveying courses are offered through the UW’s Outreach program as part of UW’s Certificate in Cadastral Surveying. UW’s courses articulate with the NWCCD program to meet degree requirements.

Program Outcomes:
  1. Implement procedures for the use and care of field equipment.

  2. Apply math, science, and technology in surveying activities.

  3. Identify the surveyor’s role in a land information system.

  4. Effectively communicate information in these formats:  written, oral, mathematical, and graphical.

  5. Apply real property law as it relates to land surveying.

  6. Perform a boundary survey and preparation of a plat using appropriate Wyoming standards and laws.
