The Agricultural Business Program prepares students for a number of exciting career and educational opportunities. Our students can focus their individual course of study to meet their own personal goals.
Program Outcomes:
-
1. Access agricultural financial information and markets.
2. Apply decision making strategies in traditional and alternative ag industries.
3. Explain the importance of international trade on agricultural markets.
4. Differentiate between marginalism and profitability.
5. Analyze governmental policy’s influence on cultural practices.
6. Analyze sales and marketing techniques in agricultural production.
A “C” or better in all required program courses & the following general education courses – math, science, basic and advanced writing.

- AGEC 2020 - Farm Ranch Business Management Minimum Credits: 4
- ACCT 2020 - Principles of Accounting II Minimum Credits: 4
- OR FIN 1000 - Personal Finance Minimum Credits: 3
- PEL 0000 - Program Electives Minimum Credits: Program Electives (2-3 credits): Include any course from the following departments:
ACCT, AECL, AGEC, AGRI, ANSC, BADM, BUSN, CHEM, CROP, ECON, EQST, HORT, MATH, REWM, SPAN, or STAT
- PEL 0001 - Program Elective Minimum Credits:
Specialty Program Electives: Advise according to student goals: STAT 2050, STAT 2070, CHEM 1000, CHEM 1020, SPAN 1010, CMAP 1680, or IMGT 2400 Credits / Units: 3
