Engineering is a program of applied science where students develop a broad background of analytical skills and task specific application abilities. The purpose of this program is to give the entering student the foundation in mathematics and engineering science necessary for a specific specialization in an engineering field (i.e. chemical, civil, or mechanical).
Program Outcomes:

Incorporate technology appropriately in addressing engineering applications.

Design an experimental method to solve a real world problem with adjustments based on results.

Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering that includes differential equations, calculus-based physics, and chemistry.

Apply relevant techniques, skills, and engineering tools to solve problems.

Rationalize the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context.

Demonstrate an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility by analyzing issues in professional ethics and explaining the importance of professional licensure.

Deliver effective verbal, written, and graphical communications.

Note
A minimum of 5 Program Electives must be completed. Program Electives must be approved by student’s program advisor.
A maximum of 6 credits of ENTK may be applied to this degree.
