Arts Administration Certificate

The certificate in arts administration will provide a personalized, interdisciplinary education in arts administration, developing well-rounded professionals employable in any arts discipline.

Program Outcome:

1.     Develop arts advocacy skills.

2.     Apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to external experiential learning opportunities.

3.     Communicate using written, oral, and visual communication skills.

Required Course of Study: 

Freshman Year


Fall Semester - 6 credits


Spring Semester - 3 credits


  • Minimum Credits:
  • OPTION A (If pursuing both the CERT and an AFA or AA in Th/Dance):

    MGT 2100 Management and Organization OR COMM 2010 Intro. To Public Speaking

    OR

    OPTION B (If pursuing the CERT outside of an Arts degree):

    Any ART, MUSC, or THEA course (3cr)

Sophomore Year


Fall Semester - 2 credits


Total Credit Hours: 15-16
