Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs of Study

The Environmental Engineering Technology AAS program introduces students to engineering and environmental concepts used in data sampling and modeling.  Students concentrate on field data sampling, with supporting emphasis in CAD & GIS data modeling.  This program explores environmental standards that impact the day-to-day work of Environmental Technicians working in industry.  The Environmental Engineering Technology AAS program culminates with a multi-disciplinary capstone class focusing on data sampling using multiple scientific disciplines.  The capstone class also uses CAD & GIS technologies to model and illustrate field data through geodatabases, CAD technology, field data collection units (GPS), and GIS mapping software.

Students who enroll in the Environmental Engineering Technology AAS program may wish to pursue a second degree in the Computer Aided Design AAS program, which carries 37 common credit hours for courses also offered in the Environmental Engineering Technology AAS program.
