The Physical Education K-12 program of study is designed to prepare students to meet academic standards leading to a Bachelor’s degree and to prepare future teachers for the K-12 classroom and related professions in the broader discipline.
Physical Education Program Outcomes:
- Describe the characteristics of primary and secondary physical education.
- Analyze individually observed teaching performances.
- Analyze current issues and trends in physical education, fitness, and wellness.
- Explain the physical education field’s contribution to child development.
- Apply Universal Precautions in a safe and effective manner when handling bodily fluids.
Required Course of Study for AS Degree

Total Degree Credit Hours: 62
Note
First Aid / CPR must be obtained in order for students to graduate with the PE K-12 degree. |
