The Massage Therapy Program (MT) curriculum develops knowledge and skills necessary for practicing massage therapy. Core courses emphasize Massage Therapy principles (pathology, client histories and indications/contraindications, ergonomics, and kinesiology), therapist-client ethical standards, and relaxation techniques. Massage Therapy techniques (Swedish, neuromuscular, sports massage, and hot stone), along with draping, hygiene practices and preparing the massage environment are also covered. Specific supplementary modalities such as aromatherapy and Tai Chi are part of the curriculum. Clinical experience is provided in the last semester.
