COSC 1010 - Computational Thinking and Programming Introduces the fundamental concepts of programming and problem solving. Topics include simple data types, control structures, array and string data structures, algorithm development. Emphasizes good software engineering principles and developing fundamental programming skills in the context of a language that supports the object-oriented paradigm. In addition highlights specific applications of programming to non-computer science problems. Prerequisites: MATH 0930 Intermediate Algebra with “C” or better, or Math Placement Level IV, or Instructor Consent. Minimum Credits: 3 Grading: Letter
