REWM 2350 - Range and Pasture Monitoring This course allows students to gain familiarity with fundamental procedures for measuring the response of rangeland and improved pastures to disturbance processes. It is intended for students involved in natural resource management, wildlife management, conservation biology, or range livestock production. The class focuses on how to: a) set up a monitoring program, b) identify ecological sites, c) describe plant community composition and productivity, d) determine stocking rates e) evaluate range/pasture trend and conditions, and f) make recommendations to the land manager. Minimum Credits: 1 Grading: Letter
