AGRI 1050 - Intro to Agritourism

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the unique opportunity to combine aspects of the tourism and agriculture industries (Agri-tourism) to provide financial, educational, and social benefits to tourists, producers, and communities. Students will examine methods that producers may use agri-tourism to generate additional revenue streams and an avenue for direct marketing to consumers. Students will identify processes for providing a pleasant and entertaining experience while maintaining a safe, clean environment and friendly atmosphere. Potential issues will be identified. Key partnerships for a successful business will also be discussed.
