CMV 1525 - Class A No Endorsement Driving Skills Training This course provides comprehensive training in the operation of Class A Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMVs) and prepares students to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) without additional endorsements. Students receive both classroom instruction and hands-on driving experience focused on the safe and efficient operation of combination vehicles such as dual wheeled pickup and trailer combinations. Instruction emphasizes vehicle inspections, control systems, shifting techniques, coupling and uncoupling procedures, and safe driving maneuvers including turning, backing, and parking. Students will also develop proficiency in applying Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS), driver qualifications, and recordkeeping requirements. Training includes classroom, range, and over-the-road driving experience under instructor supervision. Prerequisites: Submission of 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), Entry Level Driver Training certification, Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP), DOT Medical Card, DOT Drug Test, and Instructor Consent.
