CMV 1535 - Class B or Passenger Bus Driving Skills Training


This course prepares students to safely operate a Class B Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) and Class B CMV with a Passenger endorsement. Training includes both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction focused on passenger safety, vehicle inspections, mirror usage, turns, backing, and operating in various traffic and weather conditions. Students will also learn Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) rules related to Hours of Service, driver qualifications, and record keeping. Upon successful completion, students will be prepared to test for the Wyoming Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Passenger endorsement.
Prerequisites: Submission of the following: Ten (10)-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), DOT Medical Card, DOT Drug Test, CMV 1500 successful completion or other approved Entry Level Driver Training certification, Class B Commercial Learners permit or Class A or Class B license, and Successful completion of CMV 1520 Passenger Bus ELDT or other approved Passenger Bus ELDT certification.

Grading: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory
