CNSL 1395 - Professional Practice Experience The Sheridan College Human Services Certificate Capstone course provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate an introductory knowledge of the certificate outcomes and to prepare students to transition to the Human Services workforce. Students will engage in job shadowing to explore professional pathways, develop a resume and career plan. Students will also be required to demonstrate core competencies in counseling techniques, ethics, and theory-based learning through the use of scenario based case studies, projects, written exams, and oral exams. Students will be given opportunities to refine their communication skills and demonstrate confidentiality standards, ensuring readiness for the demands of the human services field. Prerequisites: Students must be pursuing completion of the Human Services Certificate. Co-requisites: Students must hold an Active CNA or higher Wyoming State License Pass a random drug screening Minimum Credits: 1 Grading: Letter
