CRMJ 2395 - Criminal Justice Capstone


This course will provide students an Experiential Learning (EL) opportunity within local criminal justice agencies. Students will apply the knowledge and skills that they have learned in the classroom into a real-world setting alongside experienced criminal justice professionals. Tasks will be assigned for completion within multiple local agencies, to include the County Sheriff’s office, the City Police Department, as well as within the County Justice Office.

The course should be completed in the last semester before graduation.
Prerequisites: Second year student in the Criminal Justice: Law Enforcement: Associate of Applied Science program. Students must have completed the following program requirements prior to taking this course: CRMJ 1001 Intro to Criminal Justice, CRMJ 2200 Constitutional Law, CRMJ 2160 Domestic and Family Violence, CRMJ 2220 Criminal Law I, CRMJ 2050 Crisis Intervention with a grade of C or better, CRMJ 1520 Law Enforcement Operations, CRMJ 2130 Criminal Investigation with a grade of C or better, CRMJ 2420 Juvenile Justice, and CRMJ 2390 Drugs and Behavior.
