Associate of Applied Science Degree Requirements


Associate of Applied Science Degree

The Associate of Applied Science degree at NWCCD is designed to lead students directly to employment in a specific career. The degree also allows the opportunity for further academic study. Where appropriate, the Associate of Applied Science programs are designed to lead directly to certification and/or licensure.

Credit Requirements for Associate of Applied Science Degree

General Institutional Requirements:

  1. Complete a minimum of 64 credit hours at 1000 level and above.
  2. Complete a minimum of 14 credit hours of Sheridan College credit.
  3. Complete a minimum of 9 of the last 15 credit hours (applied to your degree) at Sheridan College.
  4. Have a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 (“C”) or better in classes 1000 level or above.

If a Program of Study does not specify a math requirement, the mathematical skills requirement may be fulfilled by taking one of the courses listed below or by passing the Math Placement Assessment with Algebra score 66-100 or College Algebra 0-64.
