Those who are interested in the earth’s ecological processes like grasslands or shrub lands ecosystems should consider pursuing a degree in range management from Sheridan College. Range Managers possess a solid understanding of rangeland ecology. They examine how certain soils affect plant growth, and what environmental factors affect a rangeland ecosystem. They also examine and study how livestock grazing or fires affect plant communities. Range Managers are also found studying the ecology to accomplish management goals such as: beautifying recreational scenery, sustainable and productive livestock forage, clean and adequate water, and improving wildlife habitat.
