The Culinary Arts AAS program provides a comprehensive, hands-on approach to training the modern day culinarian. Soon to be certified by the American Culinary Federation, the Culinary Arts program at Sheridan College prepares students to become successful Certified Culinarians, Sous Chefs, and Executive Chefs.
The Sheridan College Culinary Arts program is an expansion in classes offered and is more academically challenging than the certificate. This program is an Associates of Applied Science degree and was modeled after the most prestigious and comprehensive college programs in the nation.
Students enrolled in the Culinary Arts program will work in kitchens on and off campus and will be taught by experienced chefs. Aside from learning to prepare exquisite meals, students will learn how to effectively manage all aspects of a kitchen as well as some front of the house operations.
The program also allows opportunities for students to experience hands-on, real-life experience by operating a turn key restaurant. Those in the community not interested in pursuing a degree can take classes that are also taught by experienced professionals and are designed for personal enrichment.
Sheridan College carries a strong tradition of delivering quality education to its students, and has the reputation of being a student-centered organization. The Culinary Arts program reflects this tradition.
