Some builders in northern Wyoming are almost three years behind on beginning projects. Why? Because there’s a big demand for new houses and new buildings and there’s an extreme shortage of skilled construction workers to get the job done right.
The Construction Technology program at Sheridan College is newly developed and is designed to prepare students for real-world positions in the construction field.
Courses such as carpentry, survey, job estimation, building, design/layout, and project scheduling will be taught by highly skilled and knowledgeable trades-people. Since construction workers work outside with their hands in a building environment, most classes will take place outside where students will receive hands-on training.
This program will not just provide the book knowledge of how to do things, but will help you excel and become a leader in the construction industry.
Even if you’re currently employed as a construction worker and just want to brush up or learn new skills, this program will help you reach your goals.
