MSFT 1600 - Implementing and Managing a Microsoft Exchange Server This course provides students with the skills necessary to implement, manage, and troubleshoot a Microsoft Exchange Email Server. This course will cover all the necessary material to enable the student to take a Microsoft Network Operating System Certification Exam.
Minimum Student Competencies Upon completion of MSFT 1600 Implementing and Managing a Microsoft Exchange Server the student will:
- Prepare the environment for deployment of Exchange Server
- Install Exchange Server
- Configure Exchange Server
- Migrate from other messaging systems to Exchange Server
- Manage server health
- Troubleshoot data storage
- Perform backups and recovery
- Manage public folders
- Troubleshoot connectivity across firewalls
- Manage permissions
- Troubleshoot encryption and digital signatures
- Detect security threats
- Manage recipient policies
- Manage user objects
- Manage distribution and security groups
- Manage contacts
- Diagnose problems arising from host resolution protocols
- Diagnose problems arising from Active Directory issues
