MUSC 2260 - Viola II This course offers students weekly, 30- or 60-minute private lessons in viola performance and techniques. It is required for second-year music majors declaring viola as their primary instrument. A maximum of 4 credit hours in MUSC 2260 Viola II can be counted toward the Associates of Fine Arts degree in music.
Prerequisites: Two credit hours of study in MUSC 1260 Viola I
Co-requisites: none
Minimum Student Competencies Upon completion of MUSC 2260 Viola II, the student will:
- demonstrate mastery of technique required for assigned repertoire studied.
- perform with accurate intonation, rhythm, and articulation.
- produce good tone quality.
- apply interpretation consistent with the stylistic performance practices associated with each piece studied and performed.
