EDEC 1340 - Diversity in Early Childhood Education This course is designed to provide students with a foundation for understanding best practices in teaching young children within a complex, diverse society. Theories and current practices are explored with an emphasis on individual student beliefs and biases as students develop into culturally sensitive teachers.
Prerequisites: EDEC 1020 - Introduction to Early Childhood Education AND either PSYC 2300 - Developmental Psychology or EDFD 2460 - Child Growth and Development
