EDEC 2300 - Infant and Toddler Development and Programs This course is an introduction to the care and teaching of infants and toddlers, with emphasis on the interrelationship between social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development. Developmental theories and milestones of young children aged birth to three are emphasized as the basis for quality care and teaching. Students explore standards-based infant/toddler curricula, preparation of healthy, safe, and universally designed aesthetic environments, and collaboration with families.
